FREQUENTLY ASKED QUESTIONS

  • How does SW3 Boutique ensure the authenticity of its products?
With over five years of experience working alongside trusted luxury dealers and collectors, every item at SW3 Boutique is carefully sourced from reliable and verifiable channels. We use a combination of in-house expertise and third-party authentication tools such as Entrupy (for brands like Hermès, Chanel, Louis Vuitton) and Bababebi (for Hermès only). Each product is backed by our 100% authenticity guarantee — or your money back.
  • How can you keep our transaction confidential?
Your privacy is our priority. We never share your personal information with third parties — not even friends or family. Every transaction is handled with the utmost discretion and professionalism, whether you're buying, selling, or consigning.
  • How do you ensure the safety and privacy of my consignment items?
All consignment items at SW3 Boutique are protected under our comprehensive insurance policy from the moment they arrive in-store. Our boutique is secured with an interlock access control system, a Fog Bandit security mechanism, 24-hour CCTV coverage, RFID anti-theft detection, and electrically locked display cabinets. Overnight, all items are stored in high-security safes to ensure maximum protection. To respect your privacy, we never share serial numbers or warranty certificates with clients before a sale is completed. All consignment sales are final — we do not allow returns — and you will receive full payment within two business days of the sale. Your items are always fully covered during their time with us, and in the rare event of loss or damage, you will be reimbursed the agreed-upon value, as clearly outlined in your consignment receipt terms and conditions.
  • How long will my item stay on consignment? What if it doesn’t sell?
We typically hold consignment items for up to 60 days. During this period, we’ll keep you updated and may suggest pricing or strategy adjustments based on current market trends. If your item doesn’t sell within that timeframe, you’re welcome to either extend the consignment or collect your item. Simply provide us with two days’ notice, and we’ll prepare everything for a smooth return.
  • Can I sell my item outright instead of consigning?
Yes. If your item fits our current buying criteria, we may offer you an instant purchase after an in-store evaluation. Please contact us with the item details to find out more.
  • Can you help me determine the value of my item?
Of course. Our team evaluates items based on brand, model, condition, and current market demand. We’ll offer a fair and realistic valuation, and happily discuss your selling options.
  • How do I get paid once my item is sold?
Once your consignment item is sold, you will receive full payment via bank transfer within two business days. As all consignment sales are final, your payout is guaranteed and non-refundable.
  • Do you clean or prepare items before listing them?
Yes. We professionally clean, present, and display your items to ensure they are in the best possible condition for resale. We will never alter or restore your item without your permission.
  • Do you offer authentication services without consignment?
Yes, we do. SW3 Boutique offers professional authentication services for handbags, even if you're not consigning or selling with us. We use trusted tools such as Entrupy and Bababebi to provide you with certificate-backed results and peace of mind. 🔗 [Click here to learn more about our handbag authentication service and charges]
  • Can I negotiate prices when buying in-store?
Yes — especially for consignment pieces. We understand the market and are open to fair negotiation. We’re always happy to work with you to meet your expectations wherever possible.
  • Can I take my item back during the consignment period?
Absolutely. You’re welcome to request your item back at any time before it is sold. We simply ask that you give us at least two days’ notice so we can securely prepare it for collection with the same care and professionalism we apply to every stage of the consignment process.
  • Do you require ID checks for purchases or consignment?
Yes. For any transaction above £5,000 — whether buying, consigning, or selling — we require a valid government-issued photo ID, such as a passport or driving licence. For bank transfers, ID is required regardless of the transaction amount. Your information is handled with absolute confidentiality and never shared with third parties.
